Common questions about funding a clinic
How long does installation take?
Once fully funded, solar installation takes 4-6 weeks including site preparation, equipment delivery, and system commissioning. You'll receive weekly progress updates throughout the process.
Can I visit the clinic I fund?
Yes! We coordinate donor visits through our Tanzania Red Cross Society partners. Contact us after funding completion to arrange your visit and meet the healthcare workers and community members you're supporting.
What happens if a clinic doesn't reach its goal?
Partial funding still makes impact. If a clinic reaches 50% funding, we install essential lighting and vaccine refrigeration. At 75%, we add backup batteries. Full funding enables complete solar infrastructure with all medical equipment support.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes, AHPI is a registered 501(c)(3) organization. You'll receive a tax receipt immediately after donation. For donations over $5,000, we provide detailed impact documentation for your records.
How do you maintain the solar systems?
Each installation includes a 5-year maintenance contract with CATA Energy. Local technicians receive training, and remote monitoring alerts us to any issues. Your funding includes all maintenance costs for the first five years.
